Neuroscience

Neuroscience involves brain, spinal cord and nerves. It is the scientific study of the nervous system; Cellular Neuroscience and Molecular neuroscience involves the study of neurons at a cellular and molecular level that combines physiology, anatomy, molecular biology, developmental biology, cytology, mathematical modeling and psychology to understand the fundamental and emergent properties of neurons and neural circuits. The scope of neuroscience include different approaches used to study the nervous system at the different scales and the techniques used by neuroscientists have expanded enormously, from molecular and cellular studies of individual neurons to imaging of sensory and motor tasks in the brain Computational Neuroscience assists as a theoretical method for investigating the function and mechanism of the nervous system.

Central Nervous System

The central nervous system (CNS) is made up of the brain, the spinal cord. The central nervous system controls thought processes, guides movement, and registers sensations throughout the body.

1. The spinal cord serves as a conduit for signals between the brain and the rest of the body. It also controls simple musculoskeletal reflexes without input from the brain.

2. The brain is responsible for integrating most sensory information and coordinating body function, both consciously and unconsciously.

Neurophysiology

The study of the way of brain functions often by electrophysiological or molecular biological tools. This is the subspecialty of both the physiology and neuroscience as different regions of brain constitute signals to different parts of the body. This topic could give a detailed description of the revolutionized anatomy of the nervous system, the motor response control system, thought processing and memory management system. Discussions can also be made in neuromuscular physiology, neural mechanisms of higher nervous activity and contemporary problems of neuroscience can also be conferred. It features board investigations in the neuropathology and interdisciplinary departments of Neuro-ophthalmologyNeuro-otology.

Pediatric Neurology

Child neurology refers to a branch of medicine that deals with the management and diagnosis of neurological conditions in neonates, children, infants, and adolescents. The discipline of child neurology encompasses diseases and disorders of the brain, peripheral nervous system, spinal cord, autonomic nervous system and blood vessels that affect individuals in these age groups. If a child has problems that involve the nervous system, the pediatric neurologist has the specialist knowledge to assess, diagnose, training and treat the child. The conditions deal with by pediatric neurologist's vary considerably, from relative disorders such as cerebral palsy or a migraine through to more complex and rare conditions such as neurodegenerative disorders or metabolic disease.

Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are observations or experiments done in clinical research. It includes biomedical or behavioral research studies on human participants to answer specific questions about treatments such as novel vaccines, drugs, dietary choices, dietary supplements, and medical devices. It generates data on efficacy and safety. Clinical trials are conducted only after they receive approval from the ethics committee in the country. These authorities are responsible for benefit or risk ratio of trial and the approval does not mean the therapy is safe; it is that only the trial may be conducted. The cost of a trial is dependent on a number of factors. The sponsor for clinical trials may be a pharmaceutical company or government organization or medical device company. There are certain functions which are necessary to the trial include lab work and monitoring, managed by central laboratory or contract research organization.

Diagnosis and Case Reports

Diagnosis is the process of determining which disease or condition explains a person's symptoms and signs. Diagnosis is often challenging, because many signs and symptoms are nonspecific. Thus differential diagnosis, in which several possible explanations are compared and contrasted, must be performed. This involves the correlation of various pieces of information followed by the recognition and differentiation of patterns. Occasionally the process is made easy by a sign or symptom (or a group of several) that is pathognomonic. The information required for diagnosis is typically collected from a history and physical examination of the person seeking medical care. Often, one or more diagnostic procedures, such as diagnostic tests, are also done during the process. Sometimes Posthumous diagnosis is considered a kind of medical diagnosis.

The market analysis of neurology represents the largest market in medical sector. Market analysis of neurology is based on probability of approval and sales of products in late development stage, and sales of product. Central Nervous System therapeutics comprises about 15% of total pharmaceutical sales, approximately $30 billion worldwide. Population of Spain is around 46.4 million and Spain is an important market within the EU for medical products. Healthcare institutions are the main purchasers of medical equipment and supplies and represent 75-80 % of the market. These include public hospitals, health centers, research institutes, etc.  The regions of Madrid and Catalonia account for over 80 % of medical equipment sales.

Approx. annual economic costs of anxiety disordersdepression, and schizophrenia are $47 billion, $44 billion, and $33 billion per year approx. The goal of this conference is to understand the market Value & Growth of Neurology Drugs, Current economics cost of clinical research and development. In 2010 in Europe the European Brain Council assessed that alone cost of neurological illnesses one trillion dollars every year

Why Spain?

Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain is the second largest country in Western Europe and the European Union. There are about 15 Universities in and around Spain which are working in the field of Neurology and Neurological disorders. About 1000 neurologistpsychiatrist and neurosurgeons are working entirely on Neurological disorder in Spain. Along with professional services, media companies are concentrated in Spain and the media distribution industry is Spain’s second most competitive sector.

World Health Organization has ranked the Spanish healthcare system as the 7th best in the world. According to a more latest 2014 Bloomberg report on efficiency of health care systems, Spain scored better than Switzerland, Sweden, Canada and Germany and United States that scored 44th place. In Spain there are more than 800 hospitals serviced by 450,000 doctors and nurses. All of the hospitals in Spain are recognized and supervised by the Spanish Ministry of Health. In Spain doctors are trained for nearly 6 to 7 years before they are qualified and eligible for their degree. Specializations, such as those required for surgeons, require additional years of study and training before the doctors are certified as licensed.

More than 220 million people are affected from neurology disease which is rapidly fast growing disease in the Europe country. The data from the European Brain Council indicates that a total of 220.7 million people in Europe suffer from at least one neurological disease that is more than the populations of Germany, France and Great Britain combined. Headaches (152.8 million affected) which most common neurological disorders, followed by sleep disorders (44.9 million), strokes (8.2 million) and dementia (6.3 million). Many neurological diseases such as strokes, Parkinson’s or dementia have an age component in that the incidence of them increases with age. According to Euro static , the number of people in the Europe over the age 65 will double by the year 2060 to 52 per cent. Neurological diseases will cost EUR 336 billion per year. Neurological diseases are one of the most expensive diseases, which is greater than the total budget of the German federal government. The three most expensive diseases are dementia (EUR 105 billion), strokes (EUR 64 billion) and headaches (EUR 43 billion). A direct non-medical costs account about EUR 122 billion while indirect costs up to EUR 93 billion arising from sick leaves and early retirements.

Share of adults diagnosed with neurological diseases in Spain in 2016, by age group

56% of deaths aged 20 years and many are with neurological conditions were male, whereas men account for only 48% of all-cause deaths. Non-communicable diseases accounted for 3,703,400 (95% CI 3,648,270–3,766,720) (91.3%) of 4,057,400 total deaths. In the Spanish population. Cardiovascular and circulatory diseases were the main cause of deaths among the non-communicable diseases (34.7% of total deaths), followed by neoplasms (27.1% of total deaths). Neoplasms, cardiovascular and circulatory diseases, and chronic respiratory diseases were the top three leading causes for years of life lost (YLLs). The most important causes of DALYs in 2010 were neoplasms, cardiovascular and circulatory diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and mental & behavioral disorders.
